<p>A BJP MLA's brand new gift to his wife proved costly after she lost control and rammed the expensive Lamborghini into an auto rickshaw in Mira Road.</p>

<p>The BJP MLA Narendra Mehta from Mira-Bhayander had gifted his wife Suman a saffron Lamborghini on her birthday on August 27 which costs around Rs 6 crore.</p>
<p>The incident happened near&nbsp;Seven Square Academy School gate on Deepak Hospital road in Mira Road.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, when Suman took the car out for trial, she lost control on the speeding vehicle and rammed it into an auto rickshaw. Luckily no one was hurt.</p>
<p>According to the people present around, as the car came out of the school gate, Suman lost control on the wheel while trying to take a turn. She then dashed it into an auto parked opposite the school.</p>
<p>A huge commotion followed as the auto driver yelled at Suman, while the terrified lady stayed put in car. On hearing the ruckus, husband and MLA Mehta rushed outside and took control over the situation.</p>
<p>The car had a temporary sticker and was not registered with the RTO, Thane. According to sources, Mehta immediately compensated the auto driver for the damages to his vehicle and thus no case was filed with the Navghar police. The car is now parked inside the school premises.</p>
<p>Mehta was quoted as saying by various media outlets that the incident wasn't as big as social media was making it out to be.</p>
