Cops probe video of sloganeering in support of activist accused of sedition at Pride March; case to be filed if objectionable content found

Mumbai police have started investigating a video in which some people participating in the Queer Pride March at Azad Maidan on Saturday are seen raising slogans in support of sedition accused and activist Sharjeel Imam, who has been arrested by the Delhi police. The video has gone viral, with organisers of the event strongly condemning the slogans and completely disassociating themselves from it.

The Delhi police had arrested Imam last week for allegedly making inflammatory speeches against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) at Shaheen Bagh, Delhi.
