Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday called for the imposition of President’s Rule in West Bengal, alleging a breakdown of law and order following reported attacks on two senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) MPs, reported the PTI.
In an editorial titled ‘Impose President’s Rule in Bengal’ published in the party mouthpiece Saamana, the Shiv Sena (UBT) criticised the BJP-led government in the state and claimed the incidents had damaged not only West Bengal’s image but also that of the country.
