Western Railway locals to be hit due to Lower Parel bridge final girder work

In connection with the ongoing work of Delisle Road over bridge at Lower Parel, a Power and Traffic Block of four hours will be taken on all lines at Lower Parel from 1:10 am to 5:10 am, Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway said

The final girder of the Lower Parel road over bridge is being planned to be placed above the rail lines on Thursday-Friday night due to which local trains post-midnight on Thursday will be affected on Western Railway.


"In connection with the ongoing work of Delisle Road Over Bridge at Lower Parel, a Power and Traffic Block of four hours will be taken on all lines at Lower Parel from 1:10 am to 5:10 am in the intervening night of 15th /16th September, 2022," Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway told Mid-Day.

The details of the local services affected due to this work are as under:-

1. Borivali - Churchgate Slow local departing from Borivali at 00.30 hrs will be run as extra Fast local between Andheri – Bandra – Dadar – Mumbai Central
2. Virar - Churchgate Slow local departing from Virar at 00.05 hrs will be run as extra Fast local between Borivali - Andheri – Bandra – Dadar – Mumbai Central
3. Churchgate – Virar Slow local departing from Churchgate at 04.15 hrs will be run from Dadar & will depart at 04.36 hrs. Hence, this train will remain partially cancelled between Churchgate & Dadar.
4. Churchgate – Borivali Slow local departing from Churchgate at 04.38 hrs will be run from Bandra & will depart at 05.08 hrs. Hence, this train will remain partially cancelled between Churchgate & Bandra.
5. Virar - Churchgate Slow local departing from Virar at 03.25 hrs will be delayed & depart late by 15 minutes
6. Nallasopara – Borivali Slow local departing from Nallasopara at 03.40 hrs will be delayed & depart late after the departure of above mentioned Virar - Churchgate Slow local
7. Bhayandar - Churchgate Fast local departing from Bhayandar at 04.05 hrs will be delayed & depart late by 15 minutes
8. Virar - Churchgate Fast local departing from Virar at 03.53 hrs will be delayed & depart late by 5 minutes
9. Borivali – Churchgate will be cancelled and will be run as extra Fast local from Malad & will depart at 04.45 hrs
10. Borivali - Churchgate Slow local departing from Borivali at 04.02 hrs will be run upto Dadar and will not halt at Matunga Road & Mahim stations. In reverse direction, it will be run as Dadar – Virar Fast local. Hence, both the above trains will remain partially cancelled between Dadar & Churchgate.
11. Borivali – Churchgate Slow local departing from Borivali at 04.14 hrs will be run upto Bandra. In reverse direction, it will be run as Bandra – Borivali slow local. Hence, both these trains will remain partially cancelled between Bandra & Churchgate.

In addition to the above, the following local trains will be cancelled:

i. Churchgate – Andheri local of 00.31 hrs
ii. Churchgate – Borivali local of 01.00 hrs
iii. Churchgate – Borivali local of 04.19 hrs
iv. Andheri - Churchgate local of 04.04 hrs
v. Borivali - Churchgate local of 03.50 hrs
vi. Borivali - Churchgate local of 05.31 hrs
