What people think of the people's bill
Answers
Samir Alam (27), Tardeo
1 It is an anti-corruption bill aimed at accountabi-lity and transpa-rency from the government. It should be independent from outside influences.
2 Not in the form that is being proposed presently. None of the panelists have been democratically elected, and their judgment may not coincide with that of the public.
3 If the bill elects members through the representative democratic process, everyone should be brought under its ambit, even the PM and judiciary. No one is above the law.
Madhvi Gajwani (30), Lokhandwala
1 The bill should be passes soon, as it was drafted to eradicate corruption from the country.
2 It may not eradicate it completely, but even a slight decline in corruption levels would help.
3 Of course! All human beings can make mistakes, and deserve punishment for them.

1 It is the public view regarding problems faced in BMC procedures, and how they should be reported.
2 That is question-able. If the problems are concentrated upon, corruption can be somewhat curtailed.
3 Yes, they should come into the picture.
