Actor Ranbir Kapoor has moved from his swanky Carter Road home, to the quieter, leafy neighbourhood of Pali Hill in Bandra (west).

The actor reportedly purchased a new flat in the area&rsquo;s Vastu building for a whopping R35 crore. Realtors say that while the rates are down in the area, interested buyers won&rsquo;t hesitate in paying a pretty penny to live here.

The flat covers an approximate area of 2,500 sq-ft. Ranbir&rsquo;s parents&rsquo; home, the Krishna Raj bungalow is located nearby as well.
Commenting on the purchase, Prem Batra, a celebrity realtor from Bandra, said, &ldquo;Pali Hill has its own value and prices in this area haven&rsquo;t been affected even in the subdued market. The reason is, there&rsquo;s hardly anything available in this area; you just go down the lane and you will find that the rates are down. But, people who want to stay in this area will spend that amount to continue to live here.&rdquo;
&lsquo;Owners got lucky&rsquo; Prakash Rohiira of Karma Realtors, who was also aware of this deal, said, &ldquo;What I am told is that the owners got lucky and this is a one-off deal. Someone is paying this high a price because they want to stay there. In this case, it could be the proximity to his [other] house, or else, why would anyone spend so much money?&rdquo; Rohiira claims the building is a bit old, but is very well maintained and is in a very good condition.
Ranbir is currently in Morocco, shooting for Anurag Basu&rsquo;s &lsquo;Jagga Jasoos&rsquo; with his former girlfriend, actress Katrina Kaif.
