'Mumbai' must replace 'Bombay' in all institutions: Shiv Sena MP

Claiming the name of the city was changed from 'Mumbai' to 'Bombay' by the British for ease of pronunciation, a Shiv Sena leader said all institutions still bearing the colonial-era name must undergo change in their nomenclature
Claiming the name of the city was changed from 'Mumbai' to 'Bombay' by the British for ease of pronunciation, a Shiv Sena leader on Saturdsa said all institutions still bearing the colonial-era name must undergo change in their nomenclature.
The name 'Bombay' was changed to 'Mumbai' 20 years ago and several institutions also rechristened themselves like 1887-built Victoria Terminus, a World Heritage Site, was changed to 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus'.
