Critics say the SlutWalk will not affect the ground reality, that the Delhi creep may even enjoy the proceedings.
No one is saying things will change because of a protest march. But as citizens, this is how we can voice our opinion. The message is clear ufffd stop blaming victims or their clothes. This has become controversial only because of the word used, but people forget that the campaigners didn't use it to sensationalise the issue or grab eyeballs. The particular incident that triggered the protest, had the word being used by a police officer. Let the word not cloud the cause. It is interesting to see the excuses being offered to stop people from making a point. Dress the way you regularly do (because that doesn't stop sexual harassment), and take part!
