'Suspicious' bags trigger bomb scare at Kurla station

Panic spread at Kurla railway station on Monday after commuters found two abandoned bags leading to a bomb scare. It though turned out to be false alarm.

With the blasts in Hyderabad making the situation in Mumbai volatile, commuters at Kurla railway station, were on edge on Monday after finding two abandoned bags, which they feared were full of explosives.

Investigations revealed a woman had left the bags in a hawker’s safe-keeping for a while. But when she failed to return even after an hour, the hawker got suspicious and informed the railway police about the bags.
