To patient's relief, PMC repairs 4 lifts at its hospital

<p>After mid-day reported how pregnant women and patients at the civic-run Kamala Nehru Hospital were suffering due to 6 of the 8 elevators’ being inoperative, civic authorities got four more lifts functioning </p>

Two days after mid-day published a detailed report on the sorry state of PMC’s Kamala Nehru Hospital, where six of the eight elevators were shut for the past many months, PMC moved swiftly and started four more elevators on Thursday.

PMC Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vijay Dahibhate (Technical) said, “Today we have started four elevators, which were closed for past many days. Lift number 1 and 4 are still non-operative. Out this one would get start soon. So now patients will not face any inconvenience.”
