Says new SSP of Gautam Budh Nagar Jyoti Narayan
After the farmers' agitation in Bhatta Parsaul village in Greater Noida turned violent, the Uttar Pradesh government replaced the Gautam Budh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP). The new SSP, Jyoti Narayan, after taking charge, told MiD Day that his priority will be to bring the policing in Noida at par with that in Delhi.
What are your priorities now?
We definitely want to improve the law and order situation in the district. Our first priority would be to take fast and appropriate action against criminals. We are trying to solve pending cases in Noida and are collecting data to compare the crime rate in the last 10 years. We have already taken stringent action against those responsible for the violence in Bhatta Parsaul village in Greater Noida. Those found innocent have been released after proper verification.
