The girl, Nazneen Nizammuddin Khan, sneaked out of the school during a lunch break and was crossing the street. The auto was coming from behind the truck and the driver, Shahid Abdul Nasir (50), couldn’t see the girl who suddenly appeared in front of the auto and rammed into her.

Nazneen is a Std V student. During the break at 10.05 am, Nazneen and her sister decided to step out for a while. Nazneen was rushed to Rajawadi hospital where she breathed her last breath, two hours later. Nasir was later arrested by the Govandi Police.
