WR looks to hire 12 Labradors while CR will be adding 6 new ones to its squad of 26 canines; once trained, they will be taken for rounds at railway stations and in local trains
Man’s best friend is increasingly doubling as the railway cop’s sidekick. Since well-trained dogs, part of the railway police, are a force to reckon with, both the Central and Western Railways are adding new sniffer dogs to their police force to monitor railway stations on the Mumbai suburban rail section.

Sniffer dogs often help railway cops get to the bottom of complaints regarding unclaimed baggage on station premises. They can easily detect the presence of explosives or drugs inside the u00a0luggage. File pic
