19-year-old maid jumps from balcony on 23rd floor

A 19-year-old domestic help at a diamond merchant's house killed herself by plunging off Cuffe Parade's Maker Towers on Wednesday night; cops have not found any suicide note
A 19-year-old maidservant, Chanda Basappa Pawar, committed suicide by jumping from Maker Towers in Cuffe Parade. The police said the victim jumped from the 23rd floor of the ‘A’ Wing of Maker Towers on Wednesday at 11:30 pm.
A resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Cuffe Parade, Pawar worked as a maid at Ramesh Balchandani’s place at Maker Towers. Balchandani is a diamond merchant and lives on the 23rd floor of the building. The victim’s body was discovered after the building watchman heard a loud thud. Rushing to the spot near the water tank, he found the woman lying in a pool of blood. The watchman and the Balchandani family immediately identified Pawar and informed the police.
