25 pc Indians ready to take pay cut for shorter commute, reveals survey

The survey by the Microsoft-owned professional networking platform showed that the commute time increased for 48 per cent Indians last year -- the highest among other countries surveyed

About one in four workers in India is willing to take a pay cut for a shorter commute to work, revealed a new LinkedIn survey on Tuesday that showed that more than half of Indians are unhappy with their commute.
"The daily commute is a pain-point for most professionals in India. In fact, we found that commute time has increased for a significant number of professionals in India in the last year," Deepa Sapatnekar, Head of Communications for India, LinkedIn, said in a statement.
