Struggling for his life since 3 years, 15-year-old National Cadet Corps (NCC) student, who had received a bullet injury on his head succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Command hospital on Thursday.

The then 13-year-old Parag Devendra Ingale, was a Loyola high school in Pashan, Pune studying in eighth class, who was injured when a bullet fired by an instructor at the National Cadet Corps (NCC) training camp got struck in his forehead on February 1, 2013. The incident took place at 50 meters firing range of NCC group headquarter based at S B road. Parag was undergoing a treatment at Southern Command hospital, Wanawadi in Pune since that time. He was in coma.
The incident came to light, when assistant police inspector Sunita Salunke of Deccan Gymkhana police lodged a complaint on Monday&nbsp;against the teacher Amod Anil Ghanekar (27), a resident Joshi Sankul, Shaniwar peth under relevant section of Indian Penal Code, which comprises culpable homicide in 2013 when Parag was 13-years-old.
According to police,"On two other periods the 46 students from the school had underwent a training of shooting with .22 rifle and on February 1, 2013, Ghanekar along with four other NCC officials were deployed at the area to assist the students in firing. Ghanekar was not having any licenses for shooting with .22 rifle. He claims that he had received training for shooting&nbsp;in 2011 at Nagpur. During investigations it was revealed that the students were in prone positions of shooting while the teacher was in standing position due to which Parag was injured. We have got the bullet from the Command hospital while the weapon is yet to be given to us by the NCC."
Devendra Ingle, Parag's father, an engineer working in the Pune Municipal Corporation, who has been suffering the trauma of seeing his son in a distressing condition and the entire family helplessly playing the role of mere attendants to him at the Command Hospital is aghast after his passing. He is agonised about being kept in the dark regarding the chronology of the untoward incident. Also, little action has been taken against Ghanekar, who has been suspended from the Zilla Parishad (he was deputed as a teacher to the Loyola School).
