32 families asked to vacate Byculla buidling on Diwali eve

Fire brigade employees vacate premises after BMC declares building unsafe

On the eve of Diwali, 32 families of the fire brigade employees were asked to vacate their residential building at the Byculla Fire Brigade by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation ( BMC). The building was declared dilapidated and dangerous by the BMC at approximately 4.30 pm on Saturday evening. Deputy Chief Officer, PS Rahandale, said, “ Propping work was going on and some cracks developed on one of the columns.
