<p>A 5,000-page chargesheet has been filed by the UP Police against Ashish Misra, son of the Minister of State for Home Ajay Misra Teni in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case.</p>
<p>Ashish Misra has been named the prime accused in the chargesheet, as per an <a href="https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/lakhimpur-kheri-case-ashish-misra-prime-accused-in-5k-page-charge-sheet-ajay-misra-teni-1895334-2022-01-03" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">India Today</a> report.</p>
<p>The chargesheet stated that investigation has revealed that Ashish Misra was present at the spot of violence. A relative of Ashish Misra was also named as an accused in the charge sheet.</p>
<p>Ashish Misra had earlier submitted videos to prove that he was not present in the car that mowed down farmers during protests in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh.</p>
<p>On October 3, eight people including farmers and BJP workers were killed after a car ran over farmers during a protest and violence erupted.</p><p>
