5 contacts of Omicron-infected person in Bengaluru test positive; genome sequencing results awaited

Union Health Ministry on Thursday said that two cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 have been reported in the country so far

As many as three primary contacts and two secondary contacts of the 46-year-old male, who was tested positive for Covid-19 with Omicron variant, were tested positive between November 22 and 25.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has informed that their samples have been sent for genome sequencing and the results are awaited.
