An eight-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death by his aunt in Madhu Vihar area of east Delhi late on Sunday night.
"The deceased, identified as Lakshya, was found inside the water tank of the house. We have sent his body for post-mortem to a nearby government hospital," said a senior police officer close to the investigation.
A police source said that Lakshya was missing since Sunday morning after which his family members approached the police.
Police interrogated Shivangi and she broke down and reportedly confessed to the crime following which police recovered the body.
