Brahme was shot dead by armed robbers in the southern African nation&rsquo;s capital Gaborone on September 3. The body is expected to reach his native place Shirur, about 65 km from Pune city, today morning. <img alt="Mahesh Brahme" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/sep/Mahesh-Brahme.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 536px;" /> The remains were held up at Nairobi and Johannesburg. &ldquo;The cargo plane carrying the body will land in Mumbai around 2.30 am on Wednesday and then the corpse will be brought to Shirur in an ambulance,&rdquo; Brahme&rsquo;s elder brother Madhusudan told MiD DAY. The last rites would be performed around 9 am at the Amardham crematorium. Brahme was working as project manager in a private firm in Gaborone for the last six years. He is survived by his wife Sunita and two kids &ndash; a daughter and a son. The family resides in Bhosari. Brahme&rsquo;s other close relatives include his elderly mother, three brothers and their families. During the attack, Brahme was hit by bullets on his chest and head. Two of his colleagues who were returning home with him at the time after celebrating the birthday of a senior officer of the company, survived with injuries. A third escaped unhurt.u00a0
