About 851 micro observers have been deployed at all the critical and sensitive polling booths in the state of Maharashtra out of the total 34,343 in the 19 Lok Sabha constituencies
As many as 951 polling stations spread across 19 constituencies in the state have been declared as critical.

These have been classified on the basis of criteria, including past electoral offences recorded in that area, communal tension, percentage of voters in the area without ID proof and percentage of voters that are missing without family linkages.
Voting will take place in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, North Maharashtra and Aurangabad, Jalna in Marathwada sealing the fate of 338 candidates.
