After being pushed into a corner with the constant misbehaviour of autorickshaw drivers or the 'rowdy' BMTC buses, Bangaloreans can now take comfort in the fact that besides speed, the Bangalore Metro will also bring in a culture of 'well disciplined' staff.

Today when the top politicos of the country flag off this much awaited public transport system of the city, commuters will also experience the onset of change.

The Delhi Metro Training Institute, which till now has trained over the 198 personnel of Bangalore Metro, has only good things to say for their students.

"The Bangalore Metro personnel were with us for a period of five months and were the best of the lot," said Praveen Kumar Pathak, vice-principal of the Delhi Metro Training Institute, where personnel from other Mumbai, Jaipur and Pune are also undergoing training.

Besides training the BMRC trainees in various technical modalities of Metro, they also have been given behavioral training.

"We have also imparted behavioral training, wherein the need to be courteous and well-behaved is emphasized," added Pathak.

Even their contribution during the Common Wealth Games has been well appreciated.

"We are sincerely appreciative of the way the Bangalore Metro trainees helped us in handling the crowd rush and we are sure that the experience would further help them to do their best in Bangalore as well," said Pathak.
