A final-year medical student of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial medical college allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room today, police said.
Ravi Pippal (28) was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room.

An empty liquor bottle and a laptop were also found from the spot.
Police suspect that Pippal could have taken the extreme step following an unsuccessful love affair of five years.
His body was sent for postmortem, police said, adding further investigations are on. u00a0
