State directs aided schools to continue admission process till all 25 per cent seats reserved for poor children under RTE are filled, even if it means extending deadline beyond June 14
In a bid to encourage higher participation and ensure that all the 25 per cent seats reserved for students belonging to the economically weaker sections (EWS) are taken up, the education department has said that schools will continue the admission process till all the seats are filled. This means that the schools can continue accepting admissions beyond June 14, the deadline for submission of forms.

Learning rule: According to the Right to Education Act, 25 per cent of seats in aided schools should be reserved for students from economically weaker sections. File Pic
