Air India to cut 22 percent domestic flights amid rising fuel prices

Air India will temporarily reduce up to 22 per cent of its domestic flights and around 27 per cent of international services between June and August 2026 due to rising fuel prices and operational costs. The airline said affected passengers will be offered alternative flights, complimentary date changes or refunds

Air India will reduce up to 22 per cent of its domestic flights amid rising operational costs due to high fuel prices, sources told PTI.
The sources told PTI that the loss-making airline, which is facing financial headwinds, has reduced international flights by around 27 per cent.
