Alcohol pushes man over the edge

The 55-yr-old was receiving treatment for alcoholic liver disease at Sassoon Hospital; medical superintendent says it is likely he was getting out to have a drink when he fell to his death
Liquor led to Sopan Yapaji Marne’s downfall, and the statement is true in more ways than one. The 55-year-old, who was admitted at Sassoon General Hospital because of alcoholic liver disease, died yesterday morning after falling off the second floor while trying to escape. Sources say the desire for a drink could have led to the victim to take such a risk.
