Sources said that the train stopped due to a technical snag. The motorman of the 9.15 pm Dadar-Borivli fast local overshot from the platform at Kandivli station. &ldquo;The train overshot from its designated halt,&rdquo; said Nitin David, WR spokesperson. Trains were halting for more than 10 minutes after Andheri station and were running late on the Western line. Sources said that at least five coaches of the train didn&rsquo;t halt at Kandivli station and thus many commuters had to either jump off the train after it stopped or had to get down at Borivli station.
