In a grisly reminder of the battered baby Falak case, a one-and-half-year toddler with cigarette burns and several broken bones was admitted to a hospital here after she was tortured allegedly by her mother's paramour.

The case came to light when one Shabana went to the hospital to get treatment for her son Imran (3) and daughter Shirin (one-and-half-year).
