On Monday morning, Seema Tirlokar, a resident of Khotwadi in Santacruz awoke to a clogged drain. She called BMC officials to send someone to clear the drainage line. Workers were cleaning the drainage when they suddenly discovered, to their shock, that a human foetus had caused the blockage.u00a0

Tirlokar said, “It was a horrible scene. The foetus was wrapped in newspaper and had floated to the place, where it eventually got stuck.” Locals later called the police, who sent the body for post mortem.
