New Delhi: Addressing the audience at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus, gathered for the screening of his film last evening, actor Anupam Kher took a dig at JNU students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya.

Mocking the duo, Kher said, &ldquo;People who are out on bail cannot be welcomed on campus.&rdquo;
His remarks came hours after Umar and Anirban, arrested last month for their involvement in a controversial event in support of terrorist Afzal Guru, were granted interim bail for six months by a local court. The duo was released from Tihar jail at 8.30 pm yesterday.
Addressing the crowd just minutes before the screening of his film &lsquo;Buddha stuck in a traffic jam&rsquo;, Kher said, &ldquo;Someone who has returned on bail is not an Olympic hero. I want the focus shifted back from kranti (revolution) to desh bhakti (nationalism).&rdquo;
A few members from the audience reciprocated by shouting &lsquo;Bharat Mata Ki Jai&rsquo;.
Last week, Kher had accused the JNU authorities of refusing to screen his film. Refuting his allegation, the varsity said the actor never made a request &mdash; verbal or written &mdash; to exhibit his film on campus.
