<p>   Varsha Bhosle, daughter of playback singer Asha Bhosle, committed suicide at their Peddar Road residence today.</p>  <p>   Varsha, 56, shot herself in the head, police said.</p>  <p>   The incident occurred around 12.30 p.m.</p>  <p class="caption">   <img alt="Asha Bhosle" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/oct/Asha.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 443px; " /><br />   <strong>Asha Bhosle (File pic)</strong></p>  <div id="cke_pastebin">   No suicide note has been found from the spot yet. According to police, Varsha pumped two rounds into herself.</div>  <div>   u00a0</div>  <div>   The entire area has been cordoned off and people are being restricted from going near the place. A flat in the building is also occupied by Asha&#39;s elder sister and singing legend Lata Mangeshkar.</div>  <div>   u00a0</div>  <div>   Varsha, who worked as a freelance journalist, was divorced and had also tried to commit suicide in 2008 and 2010 by consuming a heavy dose of sleeping pills.</div>  <div>   u00a0</div>  <div>   She was, however, immediately taken to the hospital and saved.</div>  <div>   u00a0</div>  <div>   Varsha stayed with her mother, who is currently attending a function in Singapore.</div>
