Assam floods affect nearly 16,000 people, train services suspended after bridge damage

Nearly 16,000 people have been affected by floods in 69 villages across four revenue circles in Assam’s Dhemaji, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said his government was mobilising all resources to provide relief and long-term rehabilitation of flood-affected people.
