Amid the concerning situation in Assam, Air India Express on Tuesday announced a waiver of cargo charges for transporting relief material to the North-Eastern state, as flood-hit regions across Assam continue to require humanitarian assistance.

The initiative, announced by Air India Express, aims at facilitating the movement of essential relief supplies by registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and recognised relief agencies engaged in supporting communities affected by the floods.
