Assam: More than 41,000 people affected in floods after Cyclone Remal, one dead

According to the flood report of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), more than 26,400 people were affected in the Karimganj district

More than 41,000 people from eight districts of Assam have been affected by floods as heavy rains accompanied by strong winds lashed several parts of the state following the landfall of Cyclone Remal on Sunday night. One person was killed, and two others went missing in the deluge.

According to the flood report of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), more than 26,400 people were affected in the Karimganj district, while 8351 people were affected in Cachar and 6227 in the Hailakandi district.
