Himanta Biswa Sarma is likely to be sworn in again on May 12 as the BJP-led NDA prepares to form government after its Assembly poll win. The Legislature Party will meet on May 10 in Guwahati to elect its leader and begin the formal process

The BJP-led NDA government in Assam is likely to be sworn in for a third consecutive term on Tuesday, May 12, following the alliance’s decisive victory in the assembly elections, sources told news agency IANS on Wednesday. 

The NDA Legislature Party meeting will be held at 10 am on Sunday, May 10, in Guwahati, where alliance legislators are expected to formally elect their leader.
