The BBMP has been breathing uneasy under the burden of mounds of torn dust-caked files and earning flak for its employees' snail's pace of work and alleged corrupt practices for ages. Not any more.

For, the BBMP Standing Committee yesterday cleared a proposal of around Rs 10-crore to bring the civic-body under the ambit of e-governance.

The civic body has planned to rope in different agencies to teach the corporators about the functioning of laptops and different softwares used in e-governance
