Patna: BJP today suspended its Bihar Legislative Council member Tunna Ji Pandey from the party after he was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a minor girl in a train.

The suspension order came along with a showcause notice asking Pandey to explain his conduct. "The party has suspended Tunna ji Pandey and has issued a showcause notice to him in view of the allegations levelled against him...It has acted because the party believes in standards and purity must be maintained in politics," Bihar BJP Vice President Sanjay Mayukh told PTI.
