With the Bihar Assembly elections just around the corner, both the NDA and the INDIA bloc are now looking to strengthen their hold across the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in view of creating a significant impact on the people of Bihar just before the election, is set to hold a virtual interaction with young people of Bihar on Saturday. 

As per news agency IANS, the virtual event is set to take place in a packed auditorium in Patna that aims to energise the youth and highlight key development plans focused on education, skills, and employment. 


During the session, PM Modi will also launch development projects worth over Rs 62,000 crore across the state. Giving a decisive push to education, skilling, and entrepreneurship for youngsters across the country, PM Modi’s initiative will surely give a boost to the entire youth of Bihar. 



Modi will also launch Bihar’s revamped Mukhyamantri Nishchay Svyam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana. Under this scheme, nearly five lakh young graduates every year will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 for two years, along with free skill training, reported IANS. 

The Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for new academic and research facilities at four Bihar universities: Patna University, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University in Madhepura, Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya in Chapra, and Nalanda Open University in Patna, all under the PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan). 

These projects that will be unveiled by PM Modi are worth Rs 160 crore. Moreover, these projects will assist over 27,000 students by providing contemporary academic infrastructure, innovative laboratories, dorms, and transdisciplinary learning.

PM Modi will also dedicate the Bihta campus of NIT Patna to the nation. With the capacity to host 6,500 students, the campus houses advanced facilities, including a 5G use case lab, a Regional Academic Centre for Space established in collaboration with ISRO, and an Innovation and Incubation Centre that has already supported nine start-ups.

Besides, Modi will also inaugurate the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University in Bihar. The institute that will be inaugurated by PM Modi will aim to impart industry-orientated courses and vocational education to create a globally competitive workforce.

As reported by IANS, Prime Minister Modi will also distribute appointment letters to more than 4,000 newly recruited candidates of the Bihar government. The government will also release Rs 450 crore in scholarships through Direct Benefit Transfer to 25 lakh students of Class 9 and 10 under the Mukhyamantri Balak/Balika Scholarship Scheme.
