Soak in some joie de vivre of midweek midnight shopping this Thursday. Read on to know just how... Your eyes gleam when you see stacks of fresh new clothes on hangers. When someone talks of contemporary Italian culture, you really think of striding down streets of Milan with shopping bags laden with designer icons like Prada and Gucci. Talk of Karmic bliss in Bali, and you actually dream of getting a deal on aquamarines at half price. Just like Becky Bloomwood when she feels she's been on some starvation cure, and now she's going to gorge on tiramisu with double cream. Whoever's a longtime fan of author Sophie Kinchella Shopaholic books will know exactly where I'm coming from. No doubt, Becky's addicted to shopping in the chic flick Confessions of a Shopaholic, but we don't despise her for it. Instead, we relate to her, because which woman hasn't given in to the siren song of a mannequin calling. The pull of a good bargain is always a powerful thing. A late night session of retail therapy is always welcome. Come Thursday, the 13th of May, Kimaya is hosting a Midnight Sale to unveil their designer collections at special rates between 8 pm and 1 am. Whoever said, midweek midnights are for a cozy snug didn't know what they could be in for. Also rub shoulders with Bollywood actress Mahima Choudhary, besides the city's swish set. She will hit the gong at the store, marking the start of the shopping frenzy that will continue into the dizzying hours of the night. Check for your credit cards spending limits as you lay your hands on designers Abraham Thakore, Anamika Khanna, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Malini Ramani, Manish Malhotra, Pria Kataria Puri, Ranna Gill, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rocky S, Rohit Bal, Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Shantanu & Nikhil, besides international brands like Maxmara, Pinko, Valentino, Versus, Trussardi and Etro. Amidst a hectic bout of shopping, take time to energise yourself with a blissful foot massage by Bodycraft masseurs, replete with soothing and aromatic scents. I can't think of any better way to shoo away my weekday blues. Who says money can't buy you happiness? On May 13, 8 pm to 1 pm At Kimaya, Shop F1, The Collection, UB City, Vittal Mallya Road, Bangalore. The End of Season sale will continue from May 14 to 19 Call 97401 45555
