BJP government in Karnataka wins trust vote

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by B.S. Yeddyurappa in Karnataka Monday proved its majority by winning the confidence motion through a voice vote, assembly Speaker K.G. Bopaiah declared amid chaos here.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by B.S. Yeddyurappa in Karnataka Monday proved its majority by winning the confidence motion through a voice vote, assembly Speaker K.G. Bopaiah declared amid chaos here.
The Yeddyurappa government got 106 votes.
Monday morning saw much drama as the speaker had disqualified 16 rebel legislators, including 11 of the ruling BJP and five Independents, hours before the trust vote.
