Patna/Hajipur: A BJP MLC was arrested in Hajipur for sexually harassing a minor girl in a train, prompting the party to suspend him. BJP MLC Tunna Ji Pandey was arrested on the basis of a complaint by parents of the 12-year-old after the incident on Howrah-Gorakhpur Poorvanchal Express, the Superintendent of Railway Police Muzaffarpur, B N Jha said.

The parents alleged Pandey — a BJP MLC from local bodies quota in Siwan — kissed their daughter in an AC-2 tier coach. The MLC was remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody. Pandey, however, denied the charges.
