Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said BJP's win in Haryana and Maharashtra would have some effect on the assembly elections in the state, but maintained that the influence would not be as much as previously expected

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said BJP's win in Haryana and Maharashtra would have some effect on the assembly elections in the state, but maintained that the influence would not be as much as previously expected.
"While obviously, the BJP will have some effect in Jammu and Kashmir, I don't think it will be as much as previously expected," Omar told reporters here. The chief minister said though BJP did well in the elections in the two states, the results were not upto their expectations.
