Civic officials will check whether the planning body has repaired the arterial RC Road, JP Road and Andheri-Ghatkopar link road, which presently fall under the latter's jurisdiction
Even as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) claims to have finished more than 80 per cent of the pre-monsoon repair work on roads under its jurisdiction, a team of engineers from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to inspect these roads in a week’s time to check if the planning body has reinforced them well.
According to MMRDA Joint Project Director Dilip Kawathkar, “The pre-monsoon repair work of roads under our jurisdiction is in progress. We have already completed 80 per cent of the work and expect to finish the remaining by the end of this week.” Sources from MMRDA told this newspaper that BMC officers would visit the roads under MMRDA’s jurisdiction in a week’s time. “The engineers from BMC will be visiting the roads which we are maintaining to check if we have repaired them or not.”
