With the Higher Secondary Examination results of nine different divisional boards in the state set to be declared online today, stress levels among examinees are expected to reach a crescendo. Keeping this in mind, counsellors at the Mumbai divisional board office in Vashi will be reopening their helpline and manning it today. <img alt="" src="http://images.mid-day.com/2013/may/Anil-Ghadge.jpg" style="width: 500px; height: 487px;" /> Counsellor Anil Ghadge attending to calls from distressed students and responding to their queries The same counsellors had answered calls on the helpline when the exams were underway earlier this year. Board officials said that the main motive for reopening the helpline is to help students, who haven&rsquo;t fared well or up to their expectations. The counsellors can be contacted at any time between 11 am and 7 pm, starting today. These counselors will be available at the helpline till June 5, the day before the mark sheets are distributed to students. Laxmikant Pande, chairman of the Mumbai division of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) said, &ldquo;The results will be displayed online today. The purpose of letting students contact these counsellors is to answer the different queries that are known to arise in the minds of students at such times. Students should not take too much stress and try to keep as calm as possible.&rdquo; Counsellors reported that calls started pouring in yesterday, when news broke that the results were going to be declared. Panic calls Navi Mumbai based counsellor Chandrakant Munde said that on Wednesday alone, he received over eight calls from students not just from Mumbai, but places like Pune and Nanded. &ldquo;Students had already started panicking from the time they heard that the results were to be out on May 30. This was evident from the calls I was receiving. I got the first call of the day at 8 am. Parents need to be supportive of their children and accept the results, whatever they are. Parents should ideally talk to their children openly, so that they feel free to tell parents what their plans are for the future,&rdquo; said Munde. Another counsellor Anil Ghadge said that HSC results are a good time for students to reflect on their choices for higher studies. &ldquo;Parents must guide their children and let them take up a course of their interest, instead of pushing them into something they are not interested in.
