Hadapsar police who conducted a detailed probe in this case informed that two students registered a case against Maharashtra Education and Training (MET), Maharashtra Education and Training Private Limited and MET Corporate Business School for allegedly cheating them by extracting large amounts as fees and giving them fake hall tickets for examinations.

Elaborating on this, sub-inspector of Hadapsar police station DM Madane said that in 2009-10, these three bogus educational institutions were established in the area and issued catchy advertisement for MBA courses. “The institutes told students that they will make available educational loans from particular banks and charged large fees from the students,” Madane said.
