Press release issued by the Border Security Force (BSF) revealed that it recovered a drone carrying a packet of suspected heroin from the border area of Ferozepur district on Monday. The drone that has been recovered is identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.

The official release mentions that the vigilant BSF troops while carrying out a routine search operation on April 29, 2024, at about 8.00 am, observed a small drone along with a packet in a farming field in the border area of district Ferozepur.

"The troops immediately seized the drone and the packet of suspected narcotics packet, which was wrapped in white packing material and black adhesive tape (gross weight- 510 gms). An illuminating ball was also found attached to the packet," it said.

As per the release, the recovery took place in a farming field adjacent to Village Gandu Kilcha in Ferozepur District.

The successful recovery of the illicit drone with narcotics underscores the unwavering commitment of the BSF to decimating the narco-menace from across the border.
