Indians purchased more than 21 crore vehicles in the last decade as compared to 13 crore vehicles in the 10 years before 2014, President Droupadi Murmu said on Wednesday.

Sales of electric vehicles in the country have also increased multi-fold, she said in her first address to a joint sitting of the two Houses in the new Parliament building.
