Commuters travelling on BRTS routes from Swargate Chowk, be prepared to see the bus stations shifted, as they will be moved for construction work of an MSRDC flyover.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) wrote to the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) a few days ago regarding the shifting of all bus stops on this route.

“The flyover work has commenced and we are erecting pillars from Satara Road to Swargate Chowk. We need the cooperation of the PMPML to carry on with our work. We have told them to shift their bus stations from the Chowk, as it would be risky too continue with the construction,” said P P Dhavale, superintendent engineer of  MSRDC.

PMPML CEO Mayura Shindekar said, “Not all bus stations will be moved as we are doing it in phases, considering the large number of commuters to Swargate. The construction work will be an obstruction and so the bus stations will be moved to the other side of the road.”
