Ranchi: An organisation of journalists in Jharkhand on Sunday demanded a probe either by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the murders of four scribes ever since the state was formed in November 2000.

"The killing of four journalists in Jharkhand since 2000 points towards the law and order situation. The state government should either hand over these cases to the CBI or constitute a Special Investigation Team to crack these," Jharkhand Journalists Association president president Shahnawaz Hassan said.
